June Lundgren takes a brave step forward in placing her very personal experiences as a medium before the reading public, knowing that many people will snicker that such a concept is nonsense, that the paranormal is a Hollywood bonanza but little else, and that if indeed they are religious the last thing they want to hear is that June Lundgren has actual conversations with Jesus and God and angels as well as souls who have passed over. But that is what makes this book so very readable - the fact that here is a person who has a special gift and is open enough about her talents that she places the information before us and asks us to merely consider the possibilities.
And, on the other side of the curtain are those people who acknowledge that there are indeed possibilities of communication with spirits, that when we step into the next world (a step we have labeled `death') that we may just be entering the accumulation of molecules and cells that make up the atmosphere and taking up residence at a different level of existence. But whatever side of the spectrum holds the reader's mind, here is an introduction to the realm of possibilities that should be at lest considered and explained, and June Lundgren does a fine job in doing just that. She offers her concepts of ghosts, demons, hauntings, metaphysics, psychics, intuition's possible origins, and actual conversations she has had with God about countless subjects and lets us make our decisions.
Some of the subjects she discusses will be `challenging' to many - as her discussion of God's perception of homosexuality, suicide, religion of today, meditation etc, but keep an open mind and really read what she writes and there is at least a seed of credibility that may grow the more you stay with her.
For those who are the most skeptical, the true beginners in discussing paranormal topics and metaphysics, this book will be a challenge. For the reader more interested in possibilities we may have never seriously considered until now, this book will be a fascinating journey into a level of thinking few of us have entered. And June Lundgren is a very fine guide. Believe her or not, she does keep our attention - and it all can begin there, that path not taken before. Grady Harp, September 13
A MEDIUM'S GUIDE TO THE PARANORMAL is just that a paranormal guide book. The author is a psychic medium that claims to speak to Jesus, God, spirit guides and people who have crossed over. While I am skeptical of some of the things in the book, I do believe there are people with special gifts that link them to other areas that we have no idea about. Since there is such a unknown aspect to the paranormal it is hard to believe all we are told by people with the gift. I enjoyed a lot of the book, especially the past life information and re birth. I feel it may upset people that have a set way of thinking, but this book is just a different way of thinking. This book is recommended to people interested in medium's and the paranormal.

June Lundgren has written a memoir of her experiences with the supernatural. In addition to being a nurse and author, she is a gifted psychic medium.
Coming from a long line of psychic women, June knew from an early age that she had special gifts. As a child, she was able to talk with animals and angels. Those gifts expanded and deepened as she grew older. At age eighteen, June entered the military service where she obtained training for a long career in nursing.
Throughout her life, Ms. Lundgren has kept journals of her experiences and conversations with those in psychic world. She feels that it was these spirits who led her to write this book.
Ms. Lundgren discusses her many conversations with God, as well as departed souls. This has shaped her personal beliefs in many life situations. She discusses challenges that many people face in life. She also shares her thoughts about ghosts, demons, and other things of the supernatural world. She explains her beliefs and offers possible explanations of things beyond this world.
The book is easy to read and understand. Whether you are a believer or just curious about metaphysics and unexplained phenomena, it is a fascinating book by an interesting person.
I found inconsistencies with her accounts. I found no useful tools as a psychic myself.
I'm really enjoying reading so far. Lots of insight. Lots of time to reflect and think on this woman's personal experience. It's eye opening.
